Whats happened? Before we would have three-four submissions a day at least! Now, we're lucky to have a single comment, let alone a submission in a week.... What has happened? This was a great, active site, not too long ago.

I couldn't agree more - you expressed the best way to approach life perfectly. Say what is in your heart to touch the hearts of others - whether they be long in tooth or single parent young mothers - for all can identify with the simple word and d...

It worries me to see children trick or treating door to door. There are to many unknowns lurking in the dark. Evil people putting razor blades in candy and cookies have made a once happy event a nightmare for the parents and a risk for the childre...

Evil Night

Jack O Lanterns eyes glowing,
Costumed children playful laughing,
Chilly air clouding breath,
Darkness awaits silent death.
After treats are handed out,
Time for tricks, evil shouts.
Ghouls mistress full moon bares witness…
For bewitching hour at hand,
Demons pillage haunt the land,
Taking victims unsuspecting,
To their nightmare everlasting.
Quests this night beware if you dare…
Shadows of the dark,
Rumors not a lark.
Blood fest oozes bleeding life,
Pulsing scarlet staining knife,
Rejoice till… Continue

Jack' O Lantern

Ghoulish glow eyes burning bold,
Carved flesh inner demons exposed,
Laughter sinister echoes in darkness…
Jack O Lantern child’s play, or is it.
Reflections of a darkness beckoning,
Awaiting celebration renewal awakening,
Ghouls night death reborn one autumn eve,
Trick or treat or something more evil,
Child’s dream imagined or darkest nightmare …
Which do you see…Happy Halloween.

MY GIFT TO ALL MEMBERS

A gift is presented indeed,
a poem contrived, thougth out, with speed.

From a lowly poet,
honoring the many in here, u know it.

This is a gift of words,
spoken truly, not absurd.

Each one of you are sublime,
when you write each line.

Your thoughts are oh so emotional,
whether writ with anger or devotional.

Prose of love beauty or death,
even humor your at your best.

I see tears on some of your poems.
reflecting your thoughts in rhyming roams.

Sometimes the joy dances the girth,
expressing… Continue
